The School of Industrial Design at Auburn University was established in the Department of Art in 1945 making it one of the oldest programs in the country.  The Graduate and Undergraduate programs are consistently ranked within the top 15 nationally. Three Industrial Design faculty members have been ranked as the “Top 25 Architecture and Design Educators Nationwide” by DesignIntelligence. They are also the only NASAD accredited Industrial Design BFA Program within the state of Alabama.

While attending Auburn I was able to work is studios with American Greeting Card International, Emerson Tool Company, Thermo Fischer Scientific, and Knaack.  I was also able to participate in a study abroad program, where I was spent 3 months in Kaohsuing City, Taiwan taking classes at Shu Te University.  While there, my class participated in several design conferences, worked in a collaborative studio with Shu Te students and took course in traditional crafts (glass work, painting, metal work, and pottery)
